Carrying out a lawyer's investigation: existing obstacles and possible ways to overcome them

Purpose: Identification of obstacles to conducting an attorney’s investigation in Russian legal practice and possible ways to overcome them Methodology: We used a formal legal method, a method of comparative analysis. Results: In this article, the specifics of the introduction in the Russian legal practice of the institute of advocacy investigation are analyzed. The author’s recommendations on the improvement of the regulatory and legal framework for ensuring the conduct of an advocacy investigation are proposed. It is clarified that the introduction of the institute of advocate investigation in modern Russia requires the correction of the existing criminal procedural legislation in the direction of expanding the advocacy powers and ensuring the assistance of the investigative bodies in the legal investigation. Novelty/originality/value: This article has a significant scientific value, as it highlights the actual and controversial for the Russian legal science problem.
