Mental disorders developing in the crisis-extremal situation of the coronavirus pandemic: focal problems and features of psychological-psychotherapeutic counseling

The article presents an analysis of the extremal situation caused by the coronavirus pandemic and discusses the psychological factors associated with the risks of mental health problems. The problematics of difficulties and experiences of people seeking psychological support are considered (in terms of the work of the hot-line, in which specialists from Mental Health Research Institute participated). Possibilities of remote psychological work are shown, including emergency psychological support (hot-line) and online counseling. The dynamics of referrals to a psychologist, the possible danger of mental health problems, a wide range of psychological problems that complicate habitual life are considered.
