Psycholinguistic characteristics of development spelling skills in children

The article studies the processes of formation of spelling skills, as well as the conditions and patterns of the normative development of the language system. Based on the theoretical and methodological analysis, it was concluded that the most significant condition for the formation of linguistic generalizations, which are the basis for mastering spelling rules, is the level of development of simultaneous, i. e., one-step, and successive — sequential analysis and synthesis. Analysis of the literature showed that for the successful mastery of spelling rules, children need a purposeful organization of the thinking process, i. e. a high level of development of simultaneous and successive analysis and synthesis, as well as the formation of all aspects of speech: phonetic-phonemic, lexicalgrammatical, syntactic structure.
