The psycholinguistic research of the bilingual's system of values (on the data of the thematic group "Human")

Two problems are under consideration in the article: the ways of reflection of value attitudes in the mental lexicon and the relation between bilinguals' ethnic values and their languages. These problems are discussed on the data of Tartar-bilinguals Russian and Tartar actual lexicons, in which the thematic group «Human» is analyzed. The structure of the Tartar actual lexicon reflects the ethnic values of Tartars. The quantitative and qualitative analysis of the thematic group showed that the most important Tartar values are family, social hierarchy and social success. The most important bilingual ethnic values are primarily reflected in the mother-language lexicon. The Russian lexicon also reflects essential ethnic values of bilinguals and determines the structure of the concept fields, which are not related to bilingual significant ethnic appraisals and preferences.
