Psychological readiness for educational activity of higher school students majoring in teaching

The article discusses the studying of the psychological readiness as a scientific and empirical phenomenon required for improvement of the quality of students’ learning activities. Application of valid and adequate procedures for examination of the psychological readiness components allowed the author to describe the undergraduate students’ psychological readiness for learning activity. On the basis of the correlation analysis of the indicators with score-rating assessment of students’ knowledge the author proves the possibility of implementation of this monitoring system.
