The psychological specificity of socialization of the person in old age

It is devoted to the study of the psychology of the elderly in terms of the problems of their resocialization. The basic theoretical approaches to the study of the psychological aspects of the socialization of the elderly, as well as the features of practical work on the resocialization of older people in the Russian system of social services are considered. The existence of problems accompanied by the socialization of older people, the incomplete correspondence of the current state of social work to the needs of older clients in communication and being in society was ascertained. Attention is drawn to the urgent need to intensify the psychological support of senior citizens; measures are proposed to improve social work with the elderly.
