The article presents the results of a study of the professional identity of graduate psychology students. By the method of expert evaluations and the subsequent application of mathematical and statistical procedures, the images of the “I-real” and “I-ideal” professional identities of psychology students are revealed. Significant characteristics of the image of a psychologist - a professional, which is correlated with students' expectations and perceptions, are determined. Purpose: to identify the psychological characteristics of the professional identity of young psychologists receiving higher education. Subject: features of the psychological characteristics of professional identity (as exemplified by student psychologists). Methods of mathematical and statistical analysis of the data obtained - expert assessment method, Student's T criterion, factor analysis, correlation analysis, SPSS 22.0 program. "
