In order to secure an all-round and universal research of the loneliness phenomenon in students depending on their psychological and social-demographic characteristics it is expedient to make use of: UCLA loneliness modified scale by P. Russel and M. Ferguson, 5-factor personal characteristics by H. Tsuye, social - demographic questionnaires. The set of these tools turned out to be necessary and sufficient for solving the problem in question.
