The article is devoted to a search for ways, conditions and means of improving communicative competence of an undergraduate student enrolled with a teachers training institute. The solution to the problem is being sought in an integrated and continuous implementation of communicative training, integration of academic and extracurricular forms of activity, realisation of its variations through individually oriented training.
