Psychological features of the personality having difficult the adaptation of students to learning at the university

The article deals with the problem of adaptation of first-year students to study at a university. The article presents the results of a study conducted in order to identify the psychological personality traits of students experiencing difficulties in adapting to university studies. For diagnostics, tests by R. Cattell, R. Rogers and R. Diamond, C.D. Spielberger and L. Khanin were used. Data processing was carried out using the Student's t test. It is statistically confirmed that the difficulties of adaptation are experienced by students who are highly anxious, emotionally unstable, prone to introspection and pessimistic perception of reality, insecure, uncommunicative, timid, indecisive, compliant, who to a greater extent prefer the individual style of activity and communication in a group.
