Introduciton. COVID-19 pandemics has become a tremendous shock for the whole world, and, along with danger for life and health, has put everyone in rather difficult psychological conditions. Although there is an immense range of theoretical and empirical studies, the origin of the pandemics remains a mystery. The conclusions presented about the nature of COVID-19 by some researchers are not comprehensive and final. Therefore, scientists have yet to determine the nature and impact of the pandemics on humans. The purpose of the current research is analysis and synthesis of studies devoted to psychological consequences of COVID-19 pandemics, post-COVID situation and psychological support of people in a post-traumatic situation. Materials, Results and Discussion. The authors employ system and interdisciplinary approaches to the problem under consideration. With the instantaneous spread of COVID-19 across the world, employment and usual social ties were disrupted. The pandemics provoked intra-family and interpersonal conflicts, the increase of depressions, anxiety and panic states, alcoholism and drug-addiction. The regime of self-isolation has significantly influenced our usual routine life, and revealed psychological instability and post-traumatic stress in the majority of the country’s population. Conclusions. COVID-19 experience showed that the ability to be constantly in good mood, appropriately estimate the situation and adequately act, be creative in solving life tasks, protect ourselves, our relatives and friends, respect and trust each other is an alternative to anxiety and panic emotional state.
