The problem of the researchwas studying the empirical manifestations and psychological mechanisms of development of the personal and social identity of youth, which have multiple expressions in different spheres of life practice. The subject of the analysis was the manifestations and mechanisms of the development of moral and economic identity in their unity. As positive dynamics, the change in the quality of identity was examined on the basis of the transition from a little-intended identification of youth with adult life patterns to a conscious self-determination. The purpose of the researchwas: a) to identify indicators that testify to overcoming isolation and achieving the integration of moral, financial and economic orientation of youth representatives, in justifying their decisions in uncertain problem-conflict situations; b) to identify a complex of psychological conditions conducive to the transition of young people to higher levels of identity on the basis of a change of little-intended identification with samples of successful adults to ever higher levels of moral and economic self-determination in specially created conditions; to characterize the trends of such a transition. The methodological basisof the work was the provisions of the cultural-historical approach on the interactive nature of mental neogeneses; the principles of the activity approach to understanding the high levels of the identity of the individual as the result of an intended self-determination of the subject, replacing a little-intended “diffusive” identification; principles of genetic-modeling research of psychological mechanisms of the formation of neogenesis in specially created conditions of developing classes. The research presented in the article is based on the proposition that the quality of self-determination is predetermined by an indicative basis. Accompanying the participants of developing classes in the design of increasingly distinct moral orientations in the interpretation of ambiguous moral and economic problems is organized based on the patterns of interiorization, substantiated in the works of P.Ia. Gal'perin and representatives of his scientific school. Results.Empirical manifestations of integrative neogenesis, namely moral and economic self-determination of college students, are revealed. It is shown that they can be the quality of the participants' statements about the principles of solving problem-conflict situations that activate existential reflexion. The conditions under which the enrichment of youth judgments about the fact that morally justified life principles do not become a tool for solving problems and tasks related to the organization of the financial and economic organization of a prosperous life are singled out. It is shown that, under conditions of spontaneous identification with the samples of a successful adult life, the transition of young people from the practical level of orientation to higher levels of existential vital signs is necessary, but not sufficient for their transformation into a tool for solving dilemmas, if their content requires financial and economic self-determination. The study made it possible to characterize empirical manifestations of high levels of integration of moral and financial-economic judgments. It is shown that the achievements of students in the movement to these levels are not the same and depend on the measure of acceptance of resolved dilemmas as personally significant ones. The article characterizes psychological conditions that contribute to a more successful transition of students from diffusive levels of moral and economic identification to conscious self-determination. These include the selection of content and presentation forms of moral and economic dilemmas requiring a two-level orientation in a pragmatic and morally justified parts of its resolution; providing the participants with an orientation scheme that makes it possible to reveal the multivalued relationship
