Psychological portrait of the egoist in the literature

The article deals with the problem of egoism in the works of foreign and Russian literature, the purpose of which is to describe the selfish human nature of the protagonist, his motives, moral guidelines, causes and actions. As a result, a comparative analysis of the “psychological portrait” of the character-egoist in Russian and foreign literature was “drawn” and carried out.
