Introduction. Victimological diagnostics of law enforcement officers, who ensure the safety and protection of society in the context of modern information and technological development, is a very urgent problem. Due to their professional activities, they often face the danger of becoming a victim of illegal actions. Many authors emphasize the effectiveness of the diagnosis and prevention of victimized personality behavior in the early stages of development, especially in adolescence and adolescence. Materials and methods. The study involved cadets from educational institutions of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia. The following methods were used in the research process: theoretical analysis of scientific literature; empirical methods – questionnaires, testing, observation, and the method of conversation. Methods of mathematical statistics: descriptive statistics, linear Pearson correlation. The results of the study and their discussion. As a result of the research, a typology of cadets has been developed depending on the propensity to display patterns of victim behavior (aggressive, auto-aggressive, conformally helpless, uncritical, proactive). Cadets who are prone to victim behavior patterns are characterized as insecure, indecisive, lacking assertive behavior skills, with low academic performance, lack of professional, family, social, community, intellectual value orientation, and a frivolous attitude to their safety. Along with this, they are characterized by anticipatory failure; emotional dissatisfaction with their lives, lack of purposefulness, lack of self-image as a person capable of controlling their own life; low level of meaningfulness of life; do not use coping strategies in stressful situations such as: problem solving planning, positive reassessment, preferred coping strategies in behaviors: confrontation, distancing, escape-avoidance. Conclusion. The developed typology of cadets, depending on the propensity to display patterns of victim behavior, can serve as the basis for planning psychological and pedagogical activities with cadets, taking into account the characteristics of each type to increase the effectiveness of preventive action.
