Psychological maintenance of adopting parent candidate selection

The article contains the results of the psychological research aimed at revealing of personal and socially-psychological characteristics of effective adopting parents and parents who refused to adopt children. The author defines criteria of educational activity efficiency for an adopting parent and conditions of its organisation. The results of the research can be practically used in psychological support of a replacing family.
