The psychological impact of the information environment on the state of victimization of children and adolescents

This article reveals the problems of victimization of children and adolescents in the information space and proposes ways to solve them. The author’s position on the impact of the information environment, which can have a psychological nature and threaten the victimhood of children and adolescents, is expressed. Describing the peculiarities of adolescents’ behavior in the information space, social networks and their role in increasing children’s victimization are investigated. The practice of existing restrictive measures for children and adolescents in accessing the Internet is analyzed, and the author’s conclusions are drawn as to how exactly these restrictions are observed. Existing measures of responsibility for parents for uncontrolled access of children to the Internet are considered and how effective they are. Ways of solving the problems raised are substantiated. It is argued that awareness, control, correct perception will help the younger generation to cope with the information noise and the impact on the psychological component of children and adolescents nowadays.
