The psychology of evil: the dark triad of personality

Modern literature in psychology shows that due to the high need for social dominance leadership positions are occupied by representatives of the dark triad (narcissists, psychopaths, and machiavellists). However, the dark side of leadership is still relatively poorly understood in Russian literature. Dark leaders are part of a leadership reality that includes a selfish and impulsive nature; they can be effective and successful as bright and opinion-oriented leaders. In addition, this article will discuss both the strengths and weaknesses of the dark triad. On the one hand, dark leaders have such strengths as self-confidence and dominance; on the other hand, weaknesses of dark leader traits can be used for their effective neutralization.
