Th e article presents an analysis of the study of the process of formation and implementation of psychological and pedagogical communication in musical activity. It is based on the education of the personal and individual qualities of the musician, the study of the properties of professionally important qualities of students in conjunction with the manifestations of their individuality. In the process of musical activity, interacting with art, tools, partners, students form psychological and pedagogical communication. Th e foundations of its formation are formed in the educational process. Th en they will be required by professional musical activity. In the process of building this communication, a complex of psychological and pedagogical constructions forming a model of musical activity is formed. A special role in the study is assigned to the diagnosis of factors that determine the independence and activity of students in communication, since the personality makes the selection of individually signifi cant and professionally important qualities. Eff ectively manifesting themselves in joint creative work with colleagues and means of musical activity, they determine the general and professionally important qualities necessary for the formation of the desire to create musical communication, for the process of perception, preservation, processing and transmission of musical information and contribute to the development of professionally important qualities of a musician. Th e diagnostic criteria were the characteristics of qualities due to which the eff ectiveness of musical activity is manifested communication, including interaction with partners, tools, saturation and enrichment with mental and sensory cognition, fi gurativeintonation concepts with an indispensable access to sound, corresponding to the image, style, form, artistic culture, articulation options, development of a musical work, methods of abstraction and processing of musical material.
