Psychological-pedagogical aspects of professional training of police officers in foreign countries

The article describes the basic approaches and the role of psychological-pedagogical knowledge in the process of police training in Western European countries and America. In Western European countries and in the USA the elements of psychological preparation in the training of police officers have been the case with the beginning of insertion of the mandatory professional training for police officers, caused by professional necessity of performing complex operative actions, which are directly depended from psychological knowledge of staff, making of major management decisions. The article author comes to the point that continuous, incessant quality improvement of psychological-pedagogical preparedness of the police officers is performed as a mandatory, an important driver, a mechanism for achieving success in ensuring life-sustaining activity of legal State.
