The article examines psychological and pedagogical aspects of the success situation impact on the development of learning motivation during interactive learning of cadets in universities of EMERCOM of Russia. Content of the terms "learning motivation" and "interactive learning" are refined. The paper shows the specifics of the universities of EMERCOM of Russia and methods of interactive learning that can be applied to the educational environment. The concepts of "success" and "success situation" are specified. The notion of the situation of success in the various theories of psychology and pedagogy is analyzed. The author highlights a number of positive aspects of using a success situation in interactive learning which influence on the development of learning motivation. The article discusses some of the difficulties that may arise by the use of the situation of success in the learning process. Also the author presents the results of using of such technology in educational process of higher education institutions.
