The psychological and pedagogical features of children of senior preschool age in the process of their adaptation to schooling are revealed. It is noted that the success of adaptation depends on how psychologically ready the child is for the changes. It is concluded that the cooperation of the family and the pre-school educational organization will provide the most suitable conditions for the passage of successful adaptation.
