The article describes in detail the psychological and pedagogical conditions used in the course of experimental work on teaching children 6-7 years of age the elements of the sports game volleyball, which promotes the development of motor qualities and increases the level of physical fitness. The aim of the work was to create an effective system of physical education for older preschool children, which allows for the harmonious development of the child's personality. The main tools used in working with children are presented, such as: sports games, elements of the sports game volleyball, as well as game exercises selected taking into account the individual characteristics of children. The article also describes the stages of learning the elements of the sports game volleyball. The materials of this article may be useful to: physical education instructors, preschool educators, physical education teachers and sports school coaches.
