Psychological and pedagogical conditions for improving professional training in military higher schools

The article presents the results of a pilot experiment focused on justification of the need for development of criteria of professional selection and rational placement of military institute entrants who apply for higher vocational education. The research data shows that professionally important qualities identified beforehand influence the successful training of future military specialists. The assessment of such qualities of candidates for training in a military higher school will help to develop criteria of rational placement of students for training in specific specialization areas and to predict the successful mastering of professional skills by the students.
