Psychopathological features of patients with inflammatory bowel diseases

Examination of 76 patients with inflammatory bowel diseases, from them 27 with Crohn's disease and 49 patients with ulcerative colitis has been conducted. The control group consisted of 20 healthy people comparable on age and sex. In patients with inflammatory bowel diseases, higher level of neuroticism in comparison with the healthy has been revealed. Strengthening of severity of neurotic disorders and increase of reactive anxiety has been caused by influence of a somatic disease.
