The article describes two branches of domestic psychotherapy: clinical and psychosocial psychotherapy, differing in their object (patients or clients) and means. It is noted that for psychological psychotherapy, usually problem-oriented, diagnostics is of secondary importance, and in clinical therapy, where the treatment of people with mental disorders occurs, symptoms and psychiatric diagnosis are essential. The analysis of a clinical phenomenon and a symptom in psychotherapy, symptomatic psychotherapy is carried out.
