The Samsonovs' estate in the Pskov region before the abolishment of serfdom in Russia (1853-1861)

The article analyzes the peculiarities of provincial estate management before the abolishment of serfdom in Russia. The basis of the research is the analysis of an estate in the Pskov region. The estate included an agricultural complex and a brickyard. The author draws attention to the anti-crisis measures aimed at saving the estate from being auctioned.
