The public lectures of historian T.N. Granovsky at the Moscow University in the fall of 1843 became an event in the scientific and cultural life of Russia, a true breakthrough in the development of a free public opinion. Due to the presentations of the scientist some social and spiritual convergence of the university and society had happened, the philosophical meaning of which - the development of philosophy on the ideals of humanism, priority of civic activities and scientific thought.
