Punctuation is an important complementary semiotic system, which expresses the current syntactic component and additional emotional information. The article discusses paralinguistic means of ‘mood’ expression in the English language. The role of English punctuation is an additional tool of expressing positive and negative semantics of the word ‘mood’.
