The article notes that the word pictures of the ‘bird’ and the ‘troika’ are typologically repeated in A. P. Chekhov’s works. He continues the concept of ‘flight’, which is thematically significant for Russian literature, and logically creates the play «The Seagull», where the key role is played by Nina Zarechnaya, who is analyzed in the article in the context of Chekhov’s religious, philosophical and historical searches. We conclude that the trajectory of the ‘seagull bird’s’ flight essentially suggested the idea of the play «Three Sisters» to Chekhov, where the author continued to develop the concept of the ‘seagull bird’s’ flight in poetic and philosophical senses.
