Ways to improve effectiveness of wood resources’ usage at pulp and paper mills

A problem of the cost-effective use of wood resources at a pulp and paper mill is raised. Ways to reduce cost due to the use of short length logs in processed balance are provided. Two steps of the most widespread technology of wood processing, debarking, and chip making from shot length logs are highlighted. Ways to decrease losses of wood by optimization of raw materials’ preparation process for chipper are offered.
