The customs policy is a powerful instrument with the help of which a state can encourage the growth of national production. Going back to the issue of institutional export infrastructure, we should note that today Tajikistan practically doesn’t have its key elements, namely financial institutes (export and import banks, export lending institution), export insurance companies, information and analytical centers, which should provide exporters with sufficient and relative low-cost investment, credit, information and analytical resources. The paper considers the ways of improving the customs policy of the Republic of Tajikistan as a growth factor of export potential. The development of Tajikistan's export potential can be achieved through the implementation of a set of planned activities, which requires some coordination of activities, which should be provided by the relevant committee. Thus, the coordinating committee should coordinate foreign economic activity between the general government bodies and the subjects of export activity of various sectors of the national economy. At the same time, this committee should pay considerable attention to the deployment of an efficient and not too expensive foreign sales and service network. It is also necessary to establish cooperation with institutions for studying foreign markets (primarily through the system of foreign representations), without which penetration into foreign markets will be virtually impossible.
