The article presents the results of the content analysis of the category ‘happiness’ in the philosophical heritage of Plato, conducted while taking into account the different periods of his writings. The appeal to the works of the great philosopher allowed not only to clarify the true meaning of this philosophical category but also to admire the contribution of the great philosopher to the formation of ethical norms and values of mankind.
