Working on a text as a basis for speech development competencies are being studied

The article provides methodological recommendations for working on the text in Russian language classes. The authors try to trace all the stages of work on the word: a glossary to the text is given, the figurative use of some words is considered, tasks for fixing the meanings of words are proposed. Teaching techniques of working with text, laying the foundation for the ability to learn, forming the skill of independent study, is an urgent didactic task. When reading, it is necessary to teach students how to work with a word, understand its meaning, and then understand the entire content of the text.
