Working with electronic and digital documents as a lawyer’s professional competence

This article is devoted to problematic theoretical issues of the information society from the point of view of ensuring the development of new technologies with legally competent tools. The emphasis is placed on the tasks of preparing a lawyer for effective work in the electronic document management system. The authors come to the conclusion that routine functions, indeed, should be transferred to computer "assistants", but the functions of a lawyer when he acts as a principal, as well as the protection of citizens' rights in ethically complex and legally ambiguous situations, should be reserved for a person.
