Slavery in Chitan empire Liao (907-1125)

An article is undertaken attempt to analyze slavery institute in Chitan empire Liao (907-1125). In the center of attention are problems of an origin and specificity of slavery in a nomadic society and in such state as nomadic empire, its place in Chitan society, interpretation of the status of not free persons, the reasons of incompleteness of processes of it's registration.
