The issue of correlation between rational and irrational has been comprehended in the history of European philosophy for a long time, but it is still relevant in the frameworks of the contemporary epistemology. The upsurge in interest to the problem of irrational today is determined by the sufficient changes in the traditional interpretation of the scientific rationality; the unique feature of the classical rationality is availability of any given cognitive method as a specified and necessary in the research. Here, intuitive and discursive dimensions are combined, but at the same time emotional and worldview reflecting perspectives are rejected. But as the history of science indicates, the scientific rationality in the traditional and classical interpretation is too narrow, it cannot cover the actual process of cognition, which includes various irrational components.
