The results of the tests in the BOR and the post-irradiation examination of boron carbide pellets different stoichiometry enriched in the boron-10. Maximum fast neutron fluence was 5,8 × 10 21 cm -2. After testing of boron carbide tablets had cracks, increasing the diameter of tablets did not exceed 3.9%. The crystal structure of tablets remained after irradiation, its parameters have increased by no more than 1.5%. Burnout isotope 10B in all tablets should not exceed 3%. Studies have shown the possibility of use as absorbent materials boron carbide highly enriched in the isotope 10B (98,4%) nonstoichiometric until B 10C.
