Treatment results for 743 patients with prostate cancer were analyzed. Out of these patients, 743 with stage III (49,9 %) and stage IV (33,1 %) prostate cancer received the following treatment: radiation, hormonal and hormone-radiation therapy with thennoradiomodification. The analysis of long-term treatment results showed that the combined therapy was the most effective for treatment of stage III-IV prostate cancer. Thennoradiomodification significantly improved the treatment results of patients with stage III disease but it should not be used for patients with stage IV disease. Radiation therapy appeared to be more effective within the first years of follow-up. Hormonal therapy was found to be the most effective for patients with disseminated disease.
