One of the least studied works by K. N. Leontyev – the novel «Odysseus Polihroniades» – is examined in this article. The problem of the mutual influence of the antique and Christian traditions in Leontyev`s heritage is analysed. The motive «eldership in infancy» is established as the main theme of the author`s works. A conclusion about the affinity of the Leontyev` s world perception with the early Byzantine religious perception is made.
