Calculation of indicators of innovation activity in the region

The article presents the author's approach to assessing the innovative activity of Russian regions, taking into account the official data of state statistics bodies. The purpose of the study is to determine the totality of indicators, the generalization of which makes it possible to form sub-indices of the indicator of innovative activity. Particular attention is paid to ensuring the verifiability of sub-indices and the integral indicator of innovative activity, as well as the practical orientation of the proposed methodology. The significance of this integral indicator for the formation of the regional policy of the state is revealed.
