Mechanism of basalt melting with the help of an electromagnetic technological reactor ia considered. The analysis of the temperature and phase transformations of the raw materials when heated up to the melting point, and the definition of specific energy consumption by using a generalized model of the thermodynamic analysis of TERRA is conducted.
