Designing radially symmetric refractive surfaces with regard for Fresnel losses

A system of differential equations for designing radially symmetric optical elements with regard for Fresnel losses is derived. An optical element to produce a uniformly illuminated circle (of diameter 90 mm) at a distance of 10 mm from the light source is designed. The necessity of taking the Fresnel losses into account is substantiated.
