Construction machines cabin noise prediction

Experimental investigations of construction machines cab noise generation are carried out. Structure borne cab noise contribution is found out. Cab air borne noise generation and noise sources separation are considered in the paper. It is approved that construction machine cab sound field is quasi diffuse. A new method of cab noise prediction considering noise sources placement, sound absorption and sound isolation of machine elements, acoustical and geometrical characteristics of the cab is developed. Experimental and predicted results show good agreement. Developed method is recommended to be used at the design stage of construction machines.
