Dissemination of destructive information in the information space: problems and solutions

The article examines and analyzes the problem of the dissemination of destructive information in the information space. The stage of digitalization of society has covered almost all spheres of public life, and destructive information has a direct impact, disrupting their integrity and normal functioning. A special negative impact is exerted on individual consciousness, because of which a negative attitude towards public authority is formed, the level of cultural development of the population decreases, and social stability is undermined. The scale and speed of the dissemination of destructive information are noted, including the problematic aspect of the available mechanism for publishing such information. As a result, the level of trust in information dissemination sources such as online platforms and Telegram channels is increasing, while the level of trust in official sources, on the contrary, is decreasing. There is a problem in the field of combating destructive information, when new methods of information dissemination generate actions by public authorities. It is also noted that there is no legally fixed concept of «destructive information», and therefore its author’s understanding is proposed. Solutions to counteract the spread of destructive information are proposed.
