The authors establish the relationship between worsening of social and economic conditions in society and the increase in general and drug-related crime, that, in turn, leads to a drastic aggravation of the socially determined diseases, such as drug addiction and inhalants abuse, alcoholism, tuberculosis, hepatitis, HIV etc. The types and forms of damage to state and society from spread of drug addiction are exposed (detailed) in the article.
