В статье приведены данные о способности фитопрепаратов стимулировать репродуктивную функцию. Действие препаратов из растений рода Lithospermum способно угнетать выработку действующего начала гонадотропинов передней доли гипофиза. Кроме этого, препараты Lithospermum оказывают антитиреотропное и антипролактиновое действие. Хлороформная фракция из моркови предотвращает возникновение беременности у крыс. По-видимому, контрацептивный эффект семян связан с нарушением транспортировки оплодотворенной яйцеклетки в полость матки.
