Disclosure of the concepts "name of place of origin of the goods" and "geographic indication"

This article examines the relationship between the concepts of «appellation of origin of goods» and «geographical indication», identifies their differences from each other. The author also reviewed the regulatory legal acts containing these constructions, and identified the need to supplement the list of intellectual property objects in the Civil Code of the Russian Federation with the category «geographical indications».
