In order to develop plans for extinguishing fires, providing solutions to ensure the safety of people, an analysis of possible places of occurrence of fires in buildings of the rural agglomeration of the Russian Federation for the period 2011-2020 was carried out. based on statistical information. The distribution of fires by the places of their occurrence and the number of people killed in fires per 1 fire in various places of fire in agricultural buildings in 2011-2020 has been analyzed. It is shown that most often fires in agricultural buildings occur in premises for keeping animals and poultry (26%), in auxiliary non-production premises (10%), in attic and storage rooms (storerooms) (7%, respectively). Most people die when a fire breaks out in bedrooms (30 people per 100 fires), utility rooms (5 people per 100 fires) and administrative premises (4 people per 100 fires). It is proposed to use the indicator «the proportion of people injured by fires from the total number of dead and injured people during fires» to assess the level of fire hazard of various methods of fire occurrence. The safest fires were found in attics, corridors and main production facilities. The conducted analysis of the places of fire occurrence revealed the most vulnerable places in terms of fire hazard in agricultural buildings. Special attention should be paid to these places when developing plans for extinguishing a fire, carrying out firefighting measures, taking measures to train personnel in actions in case of a fire.
