Location, specialisation, cooperation and integration in the fishery sector

The presented article studies the aspects of location, specialisation, cooperation and integration in the context of fisheries. The article analyses the main strategies for the location of production units and identifies the advantages and risks of different levels of specialisation in fisheries. Particular attention is paid to cooperation between enterprises, cooperatives and associations to optimise resources and expand markets. The role of integration of different segments of the fishing industry for sustainable development and cost reduction is also examined. The author of this article identifies current trends in the organisation of the fisheries industry and offers recommendations for the effective application of location, specialisation, co-operative and integration strategies, taking into account dynamic changes in the economic and environmental environment.
