Disarmament and prospects for the evolution of military structures

The article accomplishes a series of works published in various printed publications, including the «Vlast’» journal. The author analyzes possible ways of the evolution of the military organization of society in the process of disarmament under international agreements. The author summarizes the available literature on this topic and concludes that modern scientific thought tends to the same goal that was for the first time established in the program documents of the Russian Social-Democratic and Communist parties: the replacement of permanent armies by the militia forms of military organizations.
